Did you make April yours?

As I scrolled back through my photos from the month, there’s always a common theme. But I needed to figure out how to interpret things.

Making the month yours can be seen in different ways. Part of it with me is just about finding certain ways to be yourself.

Reality it, though, that Harper is definitely with me to make something mine!

So this month has some variety. It’s a way to find different ways of making the month mine. And being it was Harper’s birthday month …

So we made the month ours! The month had a lot of fun. We went to two hockey games with friends; we hit up our first baseball game of the year; there were a lot of walks and hikes, a whole bunch of geocaches, and things to occupy us.

1. My way?

During a day of geocaching. we came across this sign. Apparently, it’s my way!

2.Haircut time!

I had my hair cut earlier this month. Harper was with me and I was able to bring her in. She had a lot of fun, mingled with people and at the end, I couldn’t resist a photo op with my barber, Sal!

3. Geocaching

I decided to head to a small geocaching event with just me and Harper this month. Once there, met up with a couple of friends and we hit up a few caches after the event.

4. Hockey!

We hit up two hockey games this month, one in Utica and one in Syracuse. Two different friends went with each, enhancing the experience and making it even more fun!

5. Happy birthday, Harper!

As I always try and do, I took off Harper’s birthday. A friend joined me and Harper for a day of fun, geocaching, and waterfalls. This is Harper near Taughannock Falls near Ithaca. This 215-foot plunge waterfall is 33 feet higher than Niagara Falls! We had a wonderful hike out and back to these falls.

BONUS

Harper got pretty tired at the baseball game. It was a double header and she took a snooze during the second game.

I’m glad I had fun at the beginning of the month as the end has not been pleasant.

Time flies when you are having fun, right?

So before I continue with this late post, a couple of updates. I put the themes a day or two ago for this one at the video one in the Facebook group. I have the video almost ready — but I need to do the voiceover. Today I finally feel like I could get through it without hacking, so I’m hoping in the next day or two to have it finished and the linkup posted. Then maybe for April, we’ll get on track.

I might have to make sure that April’s video challenge, for me, doesn’t need that voiceover!

OK, let’s get back to this month’s version of the PBC!

Did you have fun this month? I hope so!

Though I can’t say my month was totally full of fun, I did have some enjoyable times. One thing that happened was getting my 10,000th find with geocaching! That came on a trip where a couple of us polished off the Delaware DeLorme challenge, as well as the oldest cache in the state and the state’s county challenge.

That was a fun weekend away, that’s for sure.

There will be a few selfies in this month’s post. And there will be Harper. Add it all together and it’s fun. This is me and Harper during a hikes on the Delaware trip.

3. 10,000!

My 10,000th geocacaching find was Delaware’s oldest. A cool way to celebrate this milestone. It was also a nice hike out and back for this one.

4. Sunrise

Seeing a wonderful sunrise over the ocean is always fun. But there’s a total enjoyment in watching Harper just sit and stare at the ocean and sunrise as well.

5. Doggie ice cream

Ice cream is always fun. Especially when it is at a dog ice cream place!

Two months down.

Time flies when you are having fun, right?

This month was interesting. I’ve done a lot for my own self care and realized I didn’t take a ton of photos, but I did take ones that fit this theme. And yes, I am sure you know what several of these photos include.

The winter is still going, though. And it’s been tough. Warmer days seem to be coming. Work has also been a bit stressful. But we’re getting there. I can’t complain overall.

So, this was the month of love. February covers that, right?

It’s crazy to think how much I used to be fully against selfies. I take a lot more with Harper. And well, this is a month of loving!

I took my mother to breakfast earlier in February. The one place we go has massive mugs for tea. I liked this photo in black and white.
