OK, I am sure you all know my main happy place.
But let me explain it a little bit more.
When I first got Harper a couple of years ago, I knew it would change my perspective on life, and also it would change how I lived my life. But several friends have dogs and it didn’t mess with their lifestyles at all.
They don’t have Harper!

Harper has really helped me get a grasp on life, especially as I approach 50. I’ve changed the way I look at things and how I do things. I’m not always on the go. And she is usually with me.
When she’s not, it’s even more odd.
Case in point … I went to two Phillies games this month. Neither time was she with me. The second time, she stayed at her daycare place to board for the night. Waking up the next morning and not having to take her for a walk — I didn’t go walk either, as I figured it would feel really odd. And in the end it was good as I needed a little extra sleep.
But my happy place usually involves her.
Harper is, by far, a massive part of these photo challenges for me. Though I have been trying to get other things in here, sometimes it’s hard. As I said above, she’s always with me. So … and is a really good photo subject.
What is your happy place?
Anyway, onward. Here’s my five for the month!
1. Give me a chair!
Harper is so happy. She doesn’t always stay still for photos, but when I can get her to do so sometimes, it really is nice. Especially with the colors on this day! So nice! Happy place, indeed!

2. So pretty
As I’ve gotten older, I love being around the water more. River, creek, ocean — you name it. I enjoy the times I get to go to the beach. This was on a recent walk when Harper was on this bench just kind of enjoying life. And if she’d happy, I’m usually quite happy, too.

3. My backyard
My backyard is getting some work this summer. A new patio, and a pavilion. Going to hopefully build some furniture soon. And Harper seems to like it. I’ll have a Blackstone out there, as well as my Ooni pizza oven. It’s truly a happy place.

4. Baseball
The ballpark has always been a happy place for me. I love settling in and watching a game. And yes, I love the pitch clock. Speeds the game up so there’s no silly things to slow it down. Love going to Philly for a few games a year, too.

5. Baseball 2
Baseball is even more fun on bark in the park nights. I love being able to bring Harper, who provides me with so much happiness, to the ballpark, which is one of my favorite places to be.

There’s my five and let’s see what you came up with! If you took part in this month’s challenge, make sure to link up below.
And for those of you who participated, make sure you try and get to other people’s blogs and comment (here, too!).
Let’s continue to grow this challenge and have a strong community. Come back and check out the others who link later on, too! NOTE: We have a Facebook group for those who participate in the challenge and are interested. I’ll post any announcements there and hopefully it can be a place where things are discussed and some interaction etc. You can access it here.
** CHALLENGE CHANGE **
From this point forward, I am going to do the next theme at the bottom of each linkup. Also, the posting date will now be the first of each month, thus giving you the entire month to take the photos etc.
That means it’s a one-stop shop! Hopefully this helps out with everybody.
So, below is the linkup for August. Make sure you drop your link there.
OK, so it’s time to keep on moving! It’s September’s turn! And our theme for the month? Simple! How do you define simple? What is simple to you? Or… how will you interpret? Remember to come back on (hopefully) October 1 to link up and check out the theme for that month!
