I recently rented a fisheye lens as I love the wide-angle aspect. And, honestly, if this lens (Canon 8-15 F4) wasn’t so expensive, I’d probably buy it. It’s truly an excellent lens. I think I’d actually use it a ton, mixed in with my other main “walk-around lens,” the 24-105 F4.
Because I am heading out on another baseball weekend (and still have the lens), I wanted to share some photos I’ve taken with this fisheye lens. I can’t use some of the ones I want to show because, well, this month in the photo blogging challenge is “baseball” and a few of these have the chance to be used for that!
Anyway, here are a few photos and then I’ll quickly talk about the lens.

Hot diggity dog!
As you can see from the lens, you can get the fisheye look, or you can just use it as a wider-angle lens. I like that aspect. It’s nice how it worked and it’s pretty sharp. I love the feel of it, too. It it sharp and crisp, which is excellent. It captures color well, which is nice as well.
In time, I might save the pennies and buy this lens. It’s a fun lens and could be one I’d use a lot. It’s a good lens and I’d like to be able to use it a little more. This weekend is baseball, as well as some stops at a couple of Hall of Fames, so I’ll be interested to see what I get with it.
Anybody out there use this type of lens? Thoughts?
