I truly am excited to see what people came up for this month’s theme. Is it a literal interpretation or something else.
I took the other route.
This month’s theme was smile, so I looked at it as things that make me smile. I, once again, relied on the phone for this challenge. I just haven’t had the push to get the DSLR out because of weather, time and lack of places to really shoot. I need a photo day somewhere. Maybe rent a few lenses and see what I can do for a day or a weekend.
Anyway, here are my five for the month. Enjoy and I look forward to seeing the others!
(EDIT: Sorry this is delayed. Apparently I didn’t schedule it to post as I thought I had).
1. My nephew
This little guy always brings a smile to my face!
I hadn’t cached since late January, so it was nice to get out and find a few this month.
3. Games
I didn’t play in as many board game nights as I would have liked, but I got to go to a friend’s for Table Top day, and I as lucky enough to walk away with one of my favorite co-op games.
4. Getting out
The weather is, somewhat, turning for the better. So I’ve been able to get outside, which of course makes me smile.
5. Frozen treats
Good weather also means treats. A Sweet Frog opened this winter around here, so on a nice day, it was worthy of stopping here.
And that’s my five for the month.
If you took part this month, make sure you link up below. And for those who participated, make sure you try and get to other people’s blogs and comment and visit so we can continue to grow this challenge.
Don’t forget, too, to come back Thursday, May 1 and see the theme for May!
NOTE: I also set up a Facebook group for those who participate in the challenge and are interested. I’ll post any announcements there and hopefully it can be a place where things are discussed and some interaction etc. You can access it here.
Feel free to leave a comment, or e-mail P.J. at hoohaablog@gmail.com. Also, please “Like” HooHaa Blog on Facebook!
I love the ‘Getting Out’ photo. I’ve no idea what the last photo is, but it looks delicious!
I’m with Babs. I really like that 4th pic. Great outdoor pic and yet your shadow makes it somewhat ominous. Great.

Nice shots, P.J. You know, I still suck at geocaching. Your photo reminds me that I should give it another try this summer.

I really like your interpretation of the theme this month P.J. Much better than what I did.

Glad you got to smile this month! Great selection. The temps here fluctuate between almost 80 and 40 these days. I’m pretty selective about my perfect spring day….and haven’t’ had many so far! And I’m with Babs about the last one….yummy!

Outside makes ME smile too… oh boy oh boy. It still feels like summer will never be here.
We were recently hiking through our little maritime forest in Corolla and found the spot where we had hidden our AMAZING geocache… the place it was STOLEN. It was TOO good and a muggle found it and took it. I haven’t geocached since then because it upset me so much.
LOVE the pictures… the outside is my favorite… and the first too… so so sweet!

Great use of natural light in the photo of you little nephew. He’s so cute!
That geocaching photo reminded me I haven’t been out on a hunt since we returned from New Zealand, so maybe I’d better get at it. We’re only 25 finds away from our 4000 finds milestone, so maybe a little planning is in order for May’s “FUN” theme.
Your shadow “selfie” made me smile – the outdoors are awesome and so is the creativity. Way to go!
