We’re in the final week of this challenge.
And, as much as I truly do like this annual event, I am ready for the end. Not that I might not continue posting daily, but this really gets to your mind when you are doing the challenge.
What?
The themes. Some of these are things that I never would use to write. And while that is great for challenging your writing chops, it’s also a way for frustration to set in.
Anyway, so this month has really gone interesting. And with one last week, I’m struggling to come up with ideas for the final themes. In fact, I’m writing this one much later than I should be writing as I was away all day. So I am plugging away and hoping it make sense.
As I look back at the month of themes, I realize this year’s challenge had an interesting feel to it. It may be because I was a tad more busy than the past two. The themes just seemed to really take control of me.
Such at this one.
Talk about rambling!
Either way, I know the head of this challenge — Nicky doesn’t care. And then she said, wait until next year!
This is part of We Work for Cheese’s annual writing challenge. Despite what might be blamed, I had nothing to do with it. Go check them out for other crazy writers doing this challenge.
T-SHIRT ALERT: Nicky has allowed me to create the official shirt for this year’s challenge. I did it via TeeSpring to keep it lower cost. They do all the work. However, it’s like Kickstarter. We have to meet a certain number of sales for this to happen. So, we need 10 shirts to sell. You can get a short-sleeved tee shirt ($13) or long-sleeve ($15). So go buy one. Or two. Or three. Buy! Buy! Buy! Go visit and buy at this link: Challenge shirts. Be the cool kid on the block with this one.

And then she said, you’re right P.J. These things do have a way of getting inside us. Challenging, yes. Frustrating, at times. Fun, always.

That’s just the kind of thing a super-villain says, isn’t it? “Wait until next time!”

This is why I only post once or twice. The 30 day photo challenges are tough enough but finding words to surround the prompts is beyond nuts. Good job hangin’ tough, PJ.

That’s the upside about this challenge. The next one won’t happen for a full year!

I wish I had your discipline, P.J. This “everyday” thing has wrung me dry!

This challenge has been good for me in that I had fallen back from writing… I think I will set up a two a week post schedule like Ron from Triloquist (dot net). I might be less sporadic… every week I know what day Ron’s new post will be and I look forward to it. Either way I am glad to be writing again!
Oh oh oh Also, is there a photo challenge for February? When? What is the subject?

Thanks PJ!

And then she said… “there are no rules.” Yeah… like she’s not going to come after us if we don’t post every day! I’ve found several of the prompts challenging this time round as well. Good thing I decided to go with a silly narrative that doesn’t make any sense anyway!
You picked the perfect way to incorporate this prompt, P.J.!
