In lieu of Soundless Sunday this week, I’m going to add another to the 30 Days of Photographs, which, when all said and done, will be something like the 8 Days of Photographs. Well, if I’m lucky.
Frustration was the name of this game.
I probably could have just posted a photo of myself, as I was trying to figure something to use for this one.
So I reached for professional wrestling. No matter if you like or hate the world of pro wrestling, the photo possibilities are endless. The emotions, reactions and actions are some of the best you can find.
That’s what I chose for “frustration.”
The “bad guys” in pro wrestling are often heckled by the crowd. But this guy really was getting into it. And, with that, comes the frustration on the face of the wrestler.
For the record, I had another photo I was going to use. It’s also professional wrestling. But, it’s a bit more graphic than this one. So if you want to see it, feel free to click here. But I’ve warned about the graphic part of it!
To see other’s who are participating in the challenge and did this day’s image, head over to Ziva’s Inferno to check it out!

How can we not click the link? I thought wrestling was far less bloody than boxing.

Boxing = real blood. Wrestling = fake blood.
Shawn recently posted..Frustration: 30 Days of Photographs
Actually, that’s not true. The outcome may be planned and such, but the blood isn’t fake, I can assure you of that. This one was accidental, actually. That’s why it’s so crazy looking. The guy went nuts. As for other blood, it’s highly real. They actually cut themselves (blading) and the sweat is what helps make it look even worse.
In boxing it comes naturally, in wrestling it’s usually a planned thing. Note the usually.
The guy looks like the wrestler

I think there are many fans who will look like wrestlers at times.
Dayum, I thought pro wrestling was more about drama than anyone actually getting hurt. I wonder how many people will resist the urge to click on the link? Both are really dandy photos, P.J.

Wrestling is about drama, that’s for sure. The independents (smaller companies) do a lot more crazy things. And though it’s a planned and trained “sport,” these guys and gals really do go through a ton and get very physical. People can and do get hurt — sometimes severely — in this. One mess up and somebody could be laid up in a hospital.
As for the second photo, I figured it was better to allow people to make their own decision on whether or not they wanted to see it. 🙂
Looks like she’s wiping spit off her face. I’d have punched the guy but then I’m not a pro and I’m inclined to lose my temper.

She had actually grabbed a dollar a moment ago from another fan. It’s something they do with this wrestler. But I agree. These guys and gals have to be able to hold their tempers, though I’ve seen unruly fans be taken care of by some of these wrestlers before.
Wow. It’s a different world out there. That’s a great photo, though.

It definitely is a different world out there.

Yup, a thick skin is definitely needed in that sport… and for multiple reasons!

Very true! Especially in the smaller companies!
Nothing like having spittle all over your face from a fan…

No doubt, right?
I of course had to click the link, and wow, that is one crazy photo!

Yeah, but now you can see why I didn’t choose that one!
it’s probably the guys bad breath
That’s very possible, too!
I understand frustration all too well. I haven’t felt like taking photos recently at all. It’s possibly a backlash to when I took at least one photo for two straight years, but I’ve just been in a funk. When I do take my camera out, I enjoy it, just don’t have the push to get the camera out much right now.
Your other photo was graphic, although I don’t recall seeing it in my flicker stream. Hmmmm.

Doing the 365 for two straight years could definitely do it. I did it once, attempted the 366 and realized doing the 365 once is probably all I’ll do! 🙂
Not a sport I’ve ever enjoyed, though my Mum used to like to watch it. It was a lot more genteel in those days though!

It’s definitely hit or miss. I enjoy the aspects of it and the show they put on. It’s quite entertaining to me, especially live.
Oh my!

🙂
Even though there’s a huge entertainment factor and playing along, I’m sure they reach their breaking point more often than not.

Oh, definitely. I know a few pro wrestlers and they definitely can get buttons pushed quite a bit.
That’s disgusting. Harassing a poor wrestler like that.

All part of the job!
That is an amazing photo…. you should tell that girl she has no reason to be frustrated because she has freaking abs of steel!
Yeah, she’s quite built, that’s for sure!
Eeeek – I clicked the link. Curiosity… that’s one bloody mess!
Good capture of frustration.
Have a lovely day.

Yep, I had to link it up figuring it would be better than having it splatter out there without warning!
I still watch pro wrestling and enjoy it. Some fans like this dude go a little overboard and forget that this is all scropted and these are basically actors. Great shot.

Yeah, but you know — if the fans didn’t get crazy, it wouldn’t be as fun! 😉
