30 Days of Photographs IV: Transparent

September 20, 2013

I like these challenges where you pick and choose. It makes it oh so much easier.

I decided to jump into today’s theme for the 30 Days of Photographs IV because there could be so many meanings to this with photography. And, well, in humanity, too.

On the blog, I’m usually quite transparent. I don’t hide anything, for the most part, outside of some personal things that I don’t share with pretty much anybody. But I’m pretty open outside of those.

But I’m not much for having my photo taken. Such is the life of being a photographer. You know why else I don’t have my photos taken?

Because I’m lightning quick, that’s why!

You don’t believe me? Look at this shot below. Boom, boom — I was all over the place. Action photography can’t capture me!

Transparent, baby, transparent.

Being so fast makes you transparent!

To see other’s who are participating in the challenge and did this day’s image, head over to Ziva’s Inferno to check it out!

It’s not very hard. Tripod and some patience. Looks like others want to know how to do this, so maybe I’ll do a post about it. 🙂

Is that where the expression “double-up” comes from?

Out of curiosity, did you use PhotoShop or something less sophisticated and evil to create this effect?

Okay, I want to know how you did this. It seems it would be too bright with the lights for an exposure long enough to allow you to do the old stand still/move fast thing…

Anyway, this is a great take on the theme, PJ, I really like it!

Awesome picture! You are fast… like a superhero or something like that.

I signed up for a handstand a day challenge (for 365 days). I got up to day 40 and gave up because it was too hard to get someone to take a picture of me doing my daily handstand. Ticks me off that I didn’t complete it.

    Wishing you a lovely weekend.

And being a photographer allows you to use such tricks for your blog! Ha – nice one!

I took a photo like this by accident once, when the light was low and people were hurrying through the rain. It was a lot of fun to show people the ‘ghosts’!

These are the types of things that can make photography extremely fun, that’s for sure! And if you did it accidental, something tells me you were using a slower shutter speed! 😉
