Talk about my world.
My world has been a zoo. Between work and life outside of it, I haven’t been on a computer as much as I used to be. But hey, let’s be real here — that’s a good thing.

But, with that in mind, I should have probably scheduled this post knowing that I had a zillion (OK, maybe not a true number …) at the end of the month! Alas, we’ll get through it.
So, hey … it’s a world we are all in. Some things are a bit more prevalent than others. I know my world has really been flipped upside down for the past three months and will continue to be that way.
I knew that when I got into things, though!
My world will take on a bit of an obvious theme this month. I do have a few other things, but there is one true theme. With Harper, I’m learning a lot. Some good. Some bad. A lot of patience. A lot of new things. This is all new for me — and for her. But at the end of the day, when she flops at my feet, or just comes in front of me wanting some chest scritches, it’s all worth it.
Here are my five for the month. Sorry for being late!
1. Happy
This has been one heck of a trip with Harper so far. I’m learning. She’s learning. We’re all learning. Sometimes I’m sure we get on each other’s nerves. But we’re getting there. She doesn’t always chill for photos, but we’re working on it! This is one of my favorite images from the month and when I look at it, it reminds me why I wanted a dog in my world.

2. Vintage
I’ve been wanting to do more with my regular camera (even though the iPhone is outstanding). I had the chance to get out to a vintage baseball game on a Saturday afternoon and it was really nice and fun. I know this much — I don’t think I’d be too excited playing it with the lack of gloves!

3. Bark in the park
I always said if I got a dog, I’d never be that person who would take their dog to a bark in the park night. I said this with good reason. A lot of times, people have barking dogs etc. Harper is actually really good around other dogs. So we went to one at the Binghamton Rumble Ponies. We last through five innings, and a little into the sixth inning. It was actually really enjoyable and I see me doing more of it in the future.

4. Oh look, an airplane!
I was out playing fetch with Harper one day and she caught a small airplane going over. It was one of those first time things and she just stared — and didn’t even drop the ball!

5. Cheers!
Had the chance to sneak away for an overnight geocaching/baseball trip. Took in one game and found a bunch of caches. But the one night was a stop at the Guinness American brewery. It was a fine stop, good food, and good drinks!

If you took part in this month’s challenge, make sure to link up below.
And for those of you who participated, make sure you try and get to other people’s blogs and comment (here, too!).
Let’s continue to grow this challenge and have a strong community. Come back and check out the others who link later on, too! NOTE: We have a Facebook group for those who participate in the challenge and are interested. I’ll post any announcements there and hopefully it can be a place where things are discussed and some interaction etc. You can access it here.
** CHALLENGE CHANGE **
From this point forward, I am going to do the next theme at the bottom of each linkup. Also, the posting date will now be the first of each month, thus giving you the entire month to take the photos etc.
That means it’s a one-stop shop! Hopefully this helps out with everybody.
So, below is the linkup for June. Make sure you drop your link there. The theme for October is Get out and play! … Remember to come back on November 1 to link up and check out the theme for that month!

It’s a given that a fur baby will become the center of someone’s world! Harper is adorable and I’m so excited to see what you have in store for her future. Cabo watches the owls and hawks fly overhead in our yard. Hot air balloons freak him out. Thanks for sharing your world!
Lisa recently posted..September Photo Challenge: It’s Your World
Reading your post, it dawned on me that, just like with human babies, observant “parents” notice “firsts” experienced by their fur babies, too. The capture of Harper after she noticed the plane is a great example of this parallel.
Glad you enjoyed a short getaway that involved geocaching, baseball and beer. A triple play for the win in September. 😉
Oh my goodness.
Love the cute dog – especially at the ballpark
Well, I got linked up in time. Love seeing photos of your dog.
Next month’s theme will be interesting. I’ve already been on a camping trip to two new places, so I have gotten out and played already.
