OK, March was a crazy little month.
Spring came. Then it felt like summer. Then … three feet of snow got dumped on us.
For real.
What kind of joker does Mother Nature think she is?
For me, I didn’t get some of the shots I wanted to. Most of my camera work this month was work related, so I had to kind of really think about this one a bit, based on the images I have. I had to look at them and figure what I could do with them.
So, I’ll see how this comes out. And, with that in mind, let’s get to my five for the month!
1. Four signals
On the first day of Stella, I decided to walk and take photos. This one shows the four signal lights (counting the two “sets” as one each — two pointing the other way) in the midst of the storm. Turns out the plow was a friend, too, out doing what he could to try and keep up.
2. Four feet
These piles of snow (the second day) were a bit more than four feet. Crazy.
3. Dice
I love dice and try and collect different ones when I can. Here were a few different ones out of my small collection.
4. Meeples
I love board games and play when I can. Here’s four meeples. Green is on top, of course, as that’s the color I play as much as I can.
5. Four others
Earlier this month, I went to a game convention in Connecticut. I played a five-player game in one slot, and this is a shot with the other four. I liked out it came out.
There are my five and I look forward to seeing what others had this month!

Let’s continue to grow this challenge and have a strong community. Come back and check out the others who link later on, too!
Also, don’t forget to get back here Saturday, April 1 for the April theme!
NOTE: I set up a Facebook group for those who participate in the challenge and are interested. I’ll post any announcements there and hopefully it can be a place where things are discussed and some interaction etc. You can access it here.

Very cool! Love the signals and the snow plow! It must have been a special feeling to walk in those conditions!
Ha, the dice! I tried to find a life-sized dice sculpture, but couldn’t.
Thanks so much! It was actually kind of crazy walking in those conditions — and it sure wasn’t warm! 😀 A life-sized dice sculpture would be amazing, though …
All great choices to commemorate FOUR years of the challenge! We didn’t have much snow this year at all. I have mixed feelings about that! I do love the fisheye effect. Hope April treats you well.
I heard on the radio the other day that my area averaged about 112 inches a year and this year we were just below 130 inched. Rather interesting, considering last year we were at like 25 inches!
So fun! Great photos!!
Thanks so much!
Great photos for this month’s theme. When it snows where you live it really does snow! I love the first shot I get a good sense of the enormity of the snowy weather and I like what you are doing with your new fish eye lens too.
This winter was definitely a harder one (we got more snow than normal), but it also went in waves. We’d get a bunch of snow, then it would go away. We’d get a bunch of snow and it would go away. Even the bad one we got here … it didn’t take too long for it to disappear. It was pretty wild though!
Love the photos PJ!
March got away from me. I just made my post, because I didn’t want to miss another month.
I was mad at myself for not taking a dice photo at PAX East but I like yours.

I know all about that feeling. There are times that I realize it’s the end of the month and I scramble! Thank goodness for Google calendars to help me remember to post!
That snow is INSANE!!!! If we get snow it is a huge deal… like two inches of snow. How do you even get around in that!? The pictures are crazy…. the piles on the side of the driveway… wow!
I love the dice. I’m not sure which I like best, the swirls or the small red one. I really like how you set them up for the photo too.
I can’t wait for “color” this month… it will be fun!

Yes, that snow was insane. And it was pretty insane because it closed schools down for two days up this way. That isn’t always something that happens. Some schools closed three days. The snow was pretty insane though. And I love the dice, too. One of these years, maybe I’ll get some hoohaa.com custom dice made!
