Just a short post today, folks.
Because, sometimes, the screen shot speaks more than the words can.
Though I do geocache with the iPhone app, I never log from it. I still head home and log from my computer as I find it works better that way.
So the moral of the story?
Watch what you are writing as auto-correct can get you.
A couple of weeks ago, while out during a photo day, we grabbed a couple of geocaches. Well, Darren doesn’t really cache much anymore, so he hadn’t signed in for a while. He logged this one cache, though, and you can see what happens when you use “voice to text” and don’t check what came up.
Correction – he did check the last line, but never looked at it all.
Anyway, have a good Monday. For those of you with the day off (like me!), enjoy it. If you are in the Northeast, stay warm!

Once while out in the desert, my friend and I were hiking and using voice comments for notes only. The voice to text on both phones was rather hilarious at times, especially with his Android. Apparently, Androids don’t know what to do with the word Webfoot.
After he got home, he got the brilliant idea, to log each cache, but to also include the voice to text that his phone put for each log. Just too funny all the way around.

See, now that is a fantastic idea — to pose the voice to text with the real log. I like it. Should give people a chuckle!

It’s always a good idea to proof whatever you type. Not doing so can lead to all sorts of interesting statements, some of which can get you in trouble. 😉

That is so very true!
