I imagine I should start this post off by saying I’m thankful those who still participate in this challenge put up with my tardiness in posting.
And it’s sad because I had it in my head on November 30 that I needed to do this, and same December 1 … and then, oh look.. squirrel. Work and everything else bogged me down and I kept remembering at the worst times — suck as when I just couldn’t work on a blog post.
So here we are.

November in the United States is when we have Thanksgiving, so of course the theme is fitting in that regard.
It also kind of goes with the theme of things I’ve been trying to do as of late and prepping for what we might be doing next year with this challenge.
So what were you thankful for in November? I’m truly thankful for this challenge, even if I am late far too often. I honestly need to do more writing as a whole on this blog, and maybe moving forward I’ll find the push to do so. I’ve realized that it often doesn’t matter how many people read it or comment on the post, it’s what it does for you writing and publishing something.
Hopefully you had things to be thankful for. This world is a crazy place right now, and we, as humans, need to step back sometimes and find those small things that we are thankful for and that help us continue to keep pushing forward.
If you participated tonight, share your link down below. Here’s my five for the month!
1. Thankful for … a shadow
It doesn’t quite matter what I am doing, if Harper is around she’s likely going to follow and be as close to me as possible. This is when I was getting Christmas lights ready (I got new ones, so I was stretching them out and making sure everything worked). I loved that she was laying close and taking a snooze.

2. Thankful for … four seasons
We *usually* get four seasons in my area. Sometimes one comes quicker than normal, but we deal. This was from the first snow that actually covered things in November. It was very peaceful, so I had to stop and take a couple of quick snaps.

3. Thankful for … local goods
We have some great local places, from farm stands to markets to stores etc. This is from one of the farms that has the most amazing choices and the experience there is so fun. This was our last trip there for the season (unless they somehow are open a little heading into Christmas, and then you never know!)

4. Thankful for … every day life
Harper is obviously a big part of everyday life. And her silliness is always welcome. But I am trying to take care of myself each day and trying to make things better overall.

5. Thankful for … my best friend
Harper is my best friend. My adventure buddy. A bed hog. But my world. And I still rarely do selfies, but ones with her are OK by me.

There’s my five for one word! Let’s see what you came up with! If you took part in this month’s challenge, make sure to link up below.
And for those of you who participated, make sure you try and get to other people’s blogs and comment (here, too!).
Let’s continue to grow this challenge and have a strong community. Come back and check out the others who link later on, too! NOTE: We have a Facebook group for those who participate in the challenge and are interested. I’ll post any announcements there and hopefully ithere.
** CHALLENGE CHANGE **
From this point forward, I am going to do the next theme at the bottom of each linkup. Also, the posting date will now be the first of each month, thus giving you the entire month to take the photos etc.
That means it’s a one-stop shop! Hopefully this helps out with everybody.
So, below is the linkup for November. Make sure you drop your link there.
OK, so it’s time to keep on moving! And our theme for the month? In the spirit of the season. Have some fun! Remember to come back on (hopefully) January 1 to link up and check out the theme for that month! I’ve set a calendar reminder for me, so let’s see if that works!
