Do you all remember Allen Iverson’s practice rant?
If not, click on the link above and relive the 2:30 clip of him talking about … practice. It’s well worth it.
In September, I went to the Triple-A National Championship at Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. Reggie Jackson was there and was going to be one of many to throw out a ceremonial first pitch.
So was Iverson.
Before the game, Reggie loosened up his wing, but Iverson just kind of watched along and didn’t really warm up.
His pitch was pretty solid when it came time to perform, though.
I wanted to have a little fun with it. See below.

Reggie: Gotta get a little practice in before going out there and throwing a pitch …

Iverson: Practice? We talkin’ about practice. Practice, man. We talkin’ about practice.

Reggie: Practice is what …

Iverson: Man, we talkin’ about practice. Not the game that I go out there and die for and play every game like it’s my last. Not a game. We talking about practice. How silly is that? When you come to the arena and you see me play, you see me play, don’t you? You see me give everything I got, right? But we talkin’ about practice right now.
Just a little fun as I catch up on as many things as possible with blogging! Practice!
