20 Days of Chill: Fears (Day 13)
I’ve thought long and hard how I should tackle this theme.
It’s probably safe to say we all have fears. Some may have more than others. Some are big, some are small. But we all have fears.
Is it a fear of what happens when life on this Earth ends?
Maybe it’s the fear of trying for a new job or making a major change in life. It could be relationships or travel or anything else.
Fear is real.
In our society today, it’s also easy to fear a lot of things that maybe weren’t fears back 25 years ago. Society, again, has ruled that. Terrorism, hate and everything else gives people things to fear.
Over the past 10 years, fears I used to have subsided. I try and live life without too much fear because if one is always scared, it’s hard to life.
Sure, there’s the regular stuff, such as fear of death or things like that.
What does fear do, though?
For one, I think it creates hate. When people fear something, be it change, people or something else, often times hate grows from it.
And hate creates more fear.
It seems like there is a ton of that going around in our world these days.
This is a circle that would be nice to see end.
Fears, in many aspects, are a part of life that can help push. The unknown of starting a new job, for example, can give many fears and create anxiety. But it can be seen as a good thing.
But the fears we experience on a broader scale aren’t always good ones.
How about all of you? What do you think of fear? What fears do you have? How do you get over said fears?
