20 Days of Chill: Selfie nation (Day 11)
We are in a selfie-nation.
The photos that many people take are often of themselves.
There’s stupid faces. Photos with celebs. Friends.
In all the years I’ve taken photos, only a handful are selfies. And most of that group are ones I’ve taken with Cameron.
But what’s the draw?
Are people so self-absorbed they need to take a selfie?
What is the point of them?
Look, I’m kind of serious with these questions. I am not a fan of my photo being taken, so selfies don’t resonate with me. I also dislike the photos where they hold the phone in the mirror and all.
I had different ideas when this theme was first added. Alas, as it got closer, I had more interest in learning about selfies and why people do them. So, hopefully, those who comment can give me your thoughts on selfies and such so I can get a better idea.
This post is part of the 20 Days of Chill Writing Challenge hosted by A ‘lil HooHaa. Please check out the link if you’d like to see others or join in. You don’t have to do every theme if you don’t want! And for those participating, take a moment and check out the other participants! You can see the 2017 themes by clicking here.
